Situated in the Valley of the Saints is the Khuldabad Guest House built by the Nizam of Hyderabad for the British Viceroy of India to use during his visits to the Ellora Caves.

When Meher Baba came to visit the caves with His eastern and western disciples they were considered VIPs and were allowed to occupy the entire Guest House. Some of the antique furnishings that are still there are the ones that Baba and His companions used during their visits. As one approaches the dinning hall from the lounge area one can enter the last suite of rooms (on the left of the dinning table) that were used by Baba whenever He came. His companions would occupy the other suites of rooms surrounding the dinning hall.Baba and His companions would sit in the spacious lounge area in the front of the building and enjoy the majestic view of the valley below with its 1400 shrines and mausoleums.

Today, rooms can still be reserved at the Guest House, however government officials and VIPs still have preference in accommodations.
